VERBUM building was designed by the Galician architect César Portela. It can be structured in four floors: semibasement, ground floor, first floor and terrace. They are all unified by a light box which relates them. The vertical communications (stairs and lifts) are also placed in this light box

4. VIGO BAY

"Pues bien, señor Aronnax, estamos en la bahía de Vigo, y sólo de usted depende que pueda conocer sus secretos".Jules Verne (2ª parte, cap. VIII).

Vigo, la ciudad más poblada de Galicia, está enclavada en uno de los paisajes más hermosos de la península, dominando la Ría que lleva su nombre.

"...we’re actually in that Bay of Vigo, and all that’s left is for you to probe the mysteries of the place." Jules Verne (2nd part, chp. 8 ).

The city of Vigo, which is the most densely populated city in Galicia, is situated in one of the most beautiful corners of the whole Iberian Peninsula - the bay which takes its name.

The south coast of Galicia is characterised by a series of bays and inlets known as the Rías Baixas and Vigo Bay is the southernmost and longest (approx. 33km) of these. It is in the province of Pontevedra and as well as the city of Vigo, along the shores of the bay we find other towns such as Redondela, Arcade, Moaña and Cangas do Morrazo. The town of Baiona is also located at a small inlet but often considered outside the bay. +
